Rooted in millennia-old craftsmanship, it captures the accidental charm of high-temperature running glaze into tangible daily teaware, where every drop of cyan glaze embodies craftsmanship.
The name "Diqing" highlights its core craft: under high heat, molten cyan glaze drips down like dew, forming beads or streams. Subtle variations in kiln temperature and air make each piece unique ("one utensil, one scene"). It inherits traditional celadon's warmth while infusing contemporary vitality with flowing glaze.
Crafted from premium porcelain clay by hand, the series includes classic styles (Bamboo Hat Cup, Meditation Cup, Waist-Folded Cup). Each shape complements the running glaze: open Bamboo Hat Cup shows pouring glaze; round Meditation Cup reveals quiet glaze flow; Waist-Folded Cup blends hardness and softness with glaze marks.
Precise fire control is key to firing. At critical temperature, glaze melts and flows naturally. The finished pieces boast warm, jade-like glaze in soft tones (light cyan, pink cyan, sky cyan), with flowing traces retaining kiln warmth.
More than teaware, "Diqing" is a carrier of Oriental aesthetics. When tea is poured, glaze patterns blend with tea and aroma, creating a serene drinking experience for solo or social gatherings, reviving ancient celadon charm in modern life.
