Professional Background
Huang Ke began his celadon career in 1996 at the Longquan Reproduction Guan & Ge Kiln Factory, dedicating more than 18 years to mastering traditional techniques and refining his unique artistic voice. Known for his humble attitude, meticulous craftsmanship, and pursuit of technical excellence, he strives to contribute to the revival and evolution of Longquan celadon.

From August 2003 to June 2004, he pursued advanced studies at the Dehua Ceramic Vocational Technical Institute in Fujian, deepening his understanding of ceramic design, glazing, and firing techniques.

Studio & Innovations
In 2005, he founded Qingyi Ceramics Workshop, later renamed Huang Ke Celadon Studio in 2012. With a team of more than ten artisans, he has developed nearly one hundred Ge and Di kiln-inspired products, including the Ge Kiln Incense Burner, Rosewood Incense Burner, Linglong Vase, and Five-Piece Incense Set.

Huang Ke has innovated several new glaze colors—such as Ge Kiln Rice-Yellow Glaze, Bean-Green Glaze, and Di Kiln Shadow-Blue Glaze—all known for their richness, clarity, and crystal-like brilliance. These technical breakthroughs have been praised widely within the industry.

Artistic Style & Philosophy
Huang Ke’s signature artistic approach lies in merging ceramics and wood, bringing together two classical symbols of Chinese culture. The integration of wood enhances decorative depth while creating a serene, elegant, and restrained aesthetic rooted in traditional Eastern philosophy.

Through this cross-material exploration, Huang Ke opens new possibilities for contemporary ceramic art—transforming celadon from a traditional craft into a versatile medium that connects heritage with modern lifestyle and cultural expression.
