The "Taiping Cup with Dual Glaze Combination" handcrafted by Teacher Huang Ke showcases remarkable ingenuity in its glazing technique. It not only inherits the traditional essence of Longquan celadon, using the classic pale celadon glaze as the base, but also incorporates the teacher's original crystalline gray glaze. The fusion and interplay of these two glazes endow the cup with both the gentle elegance of traditional celadon and the vivid texture of the original glaze.
The design of the cup's base is equally ingenious. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetic characteristics of Taihu stones—"slim, wrinkled, porous, and translucent"—it is meticulously carved using openwork techniques, recreating the natural charm of Taihu stones. What makes it even more precious is that each cup is fully handcrafted; no two are identical, whether in the diffusion of the glaze color or the details of the openwork. This uniqueness fully demonstrates the distinctive appeal and collection value of handcrafted artifacts.
