Huang Ke's Works- Swan-scented Incense Burner
Work size :8.5cm*7cm
This Longquan celadon three-legged incense burner showcases the harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and auspicious culture in an elegant manner.
Its entire body is coated with a lustrous green glaze, with a color as fresh and green as distant mountains with their dark hues, fully demonstrating the characteristic of龙泉青瓷“青如玉”。 The body of the vessel is engraved with a picture of a crane soaring into the sky. The crane has a lively posture, either flapping its wings to fly or soaring through the clouds. Surrounding it are swirling clouds, with smooth and delicate lines, perfectly depicting the ethereal grace of the crane and the ethereal beauty of the clouds, conveying the auspicious meaning of “the crane soaring through the clouds, longevity and happiness”.
The body of the stove is equipped with a perforated lattice-shaped opening, which has a unique design. It not only provides a passage for the aroma to flow but also becomes a decorative element with a touch of ancient charm. The three-legged design at the bottom is particularly exquisite, presenting a curled cloud pattern, as if condensing auspicious clouds onto the feet. This not only gives the stove a stable support but also further echoes the "cloud crane" theme, making the overall shape more layered and interesting.
When the spices are ignited in the stove, the pale smoke rises gently from the perforated areas and the flower-shaped holes on the top cover, blending with the elegance of the blue glaze and the liveliness of the mythical cranes and auspicious clouds. This creates a serene and elegant atmosphere for burning incense. It is not only a practical incense burner but also an artistic masterpiece that embodies the essence of龙泉青瓷 craftsmanship and traditional auspicious culture. Placed on the desk, it can be appreciated and enjoyed, adding a touch of classical elegance to the space.
